The 2024 edition of The Amundi Evian Championship ended with a thrilling victory for Japan's Ayaka Furue.

With a one-stroke lead (-19) over her closest competitor Stephanie Kyriacou, the 24-year-old Japanese golfer wins her first Major, having already secured an impressive 6th place at the US Open in early June.

This historic week also marked the 30th anniversary of the tournament, symbolised by the omnipresent colour pink.

After four intense days, with unsettled weather on the Friday and a marathon Saturday, the sunny Sunday was a time for celebration.
Fifteen years after Ai Miyazato, The Champions Course crowned another Japanese golfer, Ayaka Furue, on the tournament’s 30th anniversary.
The flag of the Rising Sun graciously adorns the 18th green in honour of Ayaka Furue.
